We’re still here.

Jeff Hartman wrote this piece of score in honor of his grandfather and their time spent together as musicians. We're so happy to see it used here by filmmaker Garrick Lane and Table Rock Creative as a message of hope for small businesses like Hickory Arts who've been impacted dramatically by this pandemic. #theyshootwescore

Hello, everybody! We hope all is well! Please take the time to watch the above video. Special thanks to filmmaker Garrick Lane and Table Rock Creative for the time and care that went into this. It's a message of hope for our community and small businesses like Hickory Arts who've been impacted dramatically by this pandemic. So, before we travel back to 2014, we have a few updates and we want you to know that, yes, "we're still here" — Thanks to you.

We can't thank you enough. We managed to raise a quarter of our goal during the stay-at-home order. Under the circumstances, I'd say that's pretty darn good. We're still gonna experience understandable fear and feel some financial pain as our state re-opens and the economy unfolds, but we're all gonna have to take it one step at a time.

As we continue to reflect on our history and the many parts the studio, our directors and developing artists have played throughout the community, we're even more determined to rise to the challenge of substantiating the need for art at a time like this.

We will be re-opening on Monday, May 11th. Back to business as "unusual." We have confidence in the safety of our one-on-one sessions and our ongoing cleanliness. However, we realize not everyone is going to feel like jumping back in. So, we will continue to offer digital Zoom, Skype and FaceTime sessions along with our regular ones. If you are interested in trying a digital session, we have added a link on our DIY booking site… https://squareup.com/appointments/book/ARNZGQZMDBK1C/hickory-arts or you can simply let us know and we'll hook you up.

We'll continue to generate a lot of content on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and through our mailing list; sharing our history throughout the community as we celebrate our 10th anniversary. So, let's continue where we left off! Across our social media you'll find highlights from our 2014 portfolio. If you have a Hickory Arts story or video you'd like to share, please join us by celebrating the studio and your artistry with the hashtag #hickoryartshistory

Thank you for your continued support, stay safe and well, from all of us at Hickory Arts.

All my lovin',

Jeff Hartman
