Andrea Barklage is a passionate violinist and violist who started playing at seven and hasn’t put the instrument down since. Andrea graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor's in Music Industry Studies and has taught learners of all ages and skill levels.
Andrea believes first and foremost that music should be a positive experience for all learners. With a certification in the Mark O’Connor Method and experience with the Suzuki method, Andrea will work with the individual student to tailor an effective method to meet each learner’s goals.
Performance activities include Western Piedmont Orchestra, opera productions, Appalachian State Orchestra, Colpi d’Arco Chamber Music, and musical theater productions like Bright Star, Music Man, Sweeney Todd, Legally Blonde, and Hunchback of Notre Dame.
