Veteran Touring Artist Coaches Idol Finalists Hartman Sponsors Coaching Sessions HICKORY – Veteran touring and recording artist, Jeff Hartman, will be sponsoring coaching sessions for this year’s “Rotarian Idol” finalists at Down to Hear Studios (now Hickory Arts) in Hickory on Thursday, March 3rd and Saturday, March 5, 2011. Hartman’s teaching and production studio is located at Down to Hear Studios (now Hickory Arts), near Johnson Piano & Organ Exchange, above The Garage Bookstore (now across from Hickory Optimist Park). Hickory Rotary Club’s second annual Rotarian Idol contest is March 19 from 7 pm at Lenoir-Rhyne University’s P.E. Monroe Auditorium. Tickets to the event are $20 per person. Some VIP tickets are available at $50 per person. This is a fundraising event to benefit the education initiatives of the Hickory Rotary Club. First place contestant will receive $2,500. One lucky ticket holder will win $500. Last year’s winner, Carol Anne Hartman, will be performing an original song at this year’s event. “Do You See Me,” co-written with husband, Jeff, was featured in the film, “Pendulum Swings,” screening at Marquee Cinemas in Statesville from 4 pm on March 5. The song was engineered by Michael French at Down to Hear Studios (now Hickory Arts).
