Thomas Nostradamus

Nathan Crabtree

For-Prophet Organization

Hickory Arts is a for-“prophet organization” and proud sponsor of Hickory Theatre’s upcoming musical production of Something Rotten!

Thomas Nostradamus, played by Nathan W. Crabtree, is Nostradamus’ nephew and not quite as talented or adept at telling the future like his uncle. He gets Nick’s premonition for the greatest play of all time very, very wrong.

Nostradamus’s unfortunate premonition for Shakespeare’s greatest play, Omelette, was, in actuality, supposed to be Hamlet. When Nigel deals with his heartbreak by writing from his truth, much of what he shares with the Troupe is Hamlet’s actual soliloquies. The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark was written somewhere between 1599 and 1602.

Nathan Crabtree is a singer, actor, and music educator, and most recently appeared as Mr. Wormwood in Matilda at Hickory Theatre, Beadle Bamford in Sweeney Todd at The Green Room, and Ram’s Dad in Heathers at Queen City Theatre Company.

Hickory Arts couldn’t be prouder of his daughter Samantha in her freshman year at Appalachian State University, following several years of guitar/self-accompaniment study with Jeff Hartman.
