Mull & Cline House Concert

Sydney Cline and Meredith MullVocalists Meredith Mull & Sydney Cline will kick off the 2015 House Concert Series at Hickory Arts on Friday, March 20th. Tickets (“donations,” if you prefer) are $20 and can be purchased online or at Hickory Arts. Please call ahead as we are appointment only. Only 40 seats available. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Doors open at 7:30 pm for an eat and greet with the artists. Performance begins at 8 pm. Accompanying, Jeff Hartman on acoustic and piano, Scott McCloud on electric bass and Jeremy Shaw on lead acoustic guitar. Hickory Arts House Concerts are very intimate. Volunteers to provide food and drinks (“pot luck,” if you prefer) for the performer(s) and guests is strongly encouraged. All proceeds always go directly to the artist(s). No membership or personal invitation required. Meredith Mull is an eighteen year-old senior at Fred T. Foard High School. In the fall, she plans to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she hopes to continue her passion for music. Meredith is the daughter of Marty & Natalie Mull and has two sisters, Makenzie & Malea. She has been singing since she was young and has performed for many weddings and in multiple competitions. She has been working with Jeff Hartman on and off for 5 years and he has played a big part in the artist that she is today. Meredith enjoys singing a variety of genres including soul, blues and indie. She is excited to see what the future holds and where her music will take her. Sydney Cline is a seventeen year-old senior at St. Stephens High School. She will be graduating in June and plans to attend either NC State or the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Sydney is the daughter of Dean & Paige Cline and the sister of Adam & Drew Cline. She began singing in middle school in her church’s youth praise band and has loved singing ever since. Sydney has been at Hickory Arts for the past year and a half and Jeff Hartman has played a huge part in her growth as an artist. Throughout her high school career, Sydney has performed in many different venues and has been honored to win several competitions. Sydney’s music interests range from pop to indie folk. She plans to continue pursuing music in the future and seeing where it leads her. Hickory Arts is a teaching and production studio dedicated to taking performance artists from point A to point B, whatever that may be. The studio is located at 720 Second Avenue SW, Hickory 28602 behind ITP and across from Hickory Optimist Park (where you’ll also find additional parking).
