House Concert Series
Intimate live performances that connect artists and audiences in a way traditional venues can’t.
What Is a House Concert?
Hickory Arts’ House Concert Series offers live performances in an intimate, welcoming environment where artists and audiences connect directly.
Typically, guests contribute $20. With around 30 attendees, that can generate $600 in direct support for the performer.
We don’t take a cut—every dollar goes to the artist.
Experience a House Concert
This is what live music is meant to feel like.
Hickory Arts House Concerts create a space where artists are truly heard, and audiences are fully engaged. It’s not background music—it’s a shared experience between performer and listener.
Every performance is personal, intentional, and completely focused on the music.
Why House Concerts Matter
Live music isn’t meant to be background noise.
House concerts create an environment where people listen, engage, and connect with the artist and the music. This kind of attention transforms the experience—for both the performer and the audience.
Unlike traditional invitation-only house concerts, Hickory Arts events are open to the public, making them more accessible while still maintaining an intimate feel.
A Real-World Performance Experience
At Hickory Arts, we prepare artists for real-world performance—not just recitals.
Students are encouraged to take ownership of their work by organizing and participating in house concerts. This builds confidence, independence, and practical experience in performing, promoting, and presenting their art.
