We don’t raise money to justify giving. We just give.
Too often, fundraising becomes more about the event than the impact. As Neil Simon once joked, people can spend thousands organizing an event only to raise a fraction of that amount for the cause.
At Hickory Arts, we take a simpler approach. We give our time, talent, and resources directly—and invite others to do the same.
What the Fried Weasel Foundation Does
The Fried Weasel Foundation exists to support artists, students, and creative work in meaningful, practical ways.
This can include:
Sponsoring lessons for developing artists
Supporting productions and performances
Funding creative projects
Providing resources that might otherwise be out of reach
Every contribution—whether time, talent, or resources—goes directly toward helping artists grow.
The Fried Weasel Fund
Those who wish to support a developing artist, an event, or a creative project can contribute through the Fried Weasel Fund.
This is not about recognition or publicity—it’s about making a direct impact where it matters.

The Fried Weasel Foundation is rooted in the values and influence of Brad Hartman—a man whose impact continues to shape the spirit of Hickory Arts.
He believed in showing up, keeping your word, and never losing sight of who you are meant to be. Those principles continue to guide how we teach, create, and support others.
His legacy lives on through every artist encouraged, every opportunity created, and every act of generosity extended through this foundation.
