Hickory Arts Coaches Rotarian Idol Finalists
Hickory Arts Sponsors Vocal Coaching Sessions

HICKORY - Hickory Arts will be sponsoring FREE vocal coaching sessions for this year's "Rotarian Idol" finalists at their new location on Second Avenue in Hickory on Friday, February 24, and Saturday, February 25. The creative & performing arts teaching & production studio is located across from Hickory Optimist Park, behind ITP Business Communications. Hickory Rotary Club's third annual Rotarian Idol contest is March 17 from 7 pm at Lenoir-Rhyne University's P.E. Monroe Auditorium. Tickets to the event are $20 per person.

Hickory Arts is offering vocal coaching, presentation, song study and selection, arrangement, locating a track, editing, and more. They will respond to each finalist's needs.

Competing for the top prize of $2500 will be Mike Brooks, Leslie Cline, Jimmy Cooper, Molly Cummings, Tiffany Gray, Amanda Harren, Leona Hunter, Phuong McKinney, Thomas Michaels, Jordan Alexander Randall, Julia Rush, Christa Shuford, Savannah Spencer, Greg Suddreth, Alex Swanson, Destre Tashjian, Matt Taylor, Victoria Whetzel, Cristy White, and Lauren Winkler. The runner-up will receive $1500, and the “crowd favorite” will receive $500. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit local education initiatives.
