Fundraising Efforts Continue for Creative & Performing Arts Studio
HICKORY - The studio on Highland Avenue, next to Johnson Piano & Organ Exchange, is currently and will hopefully continue to be home to Hickory, NC's first professional commercial recording and film post-production facility, photography, teaching & production studio, and Hickory's official house concert & master class venue. Billboard artist Kyle Vincent and singer/songwriter Charlie Parr were the first in a series of house concerts and master classes.
"House Concerts in particular are a growing trend and provide much-needed opportunities for singer/songwriters, but not everybody knows someone in Hickory. We want to continue to bridge that gap."
Veteran touring and recording artist, Jeff Hartman, most recently sponsored vocal coaching sessions at the studio for this year's "Rotarian Idol" finalists and scored "Pendulum Swings," a faith-based movie shot in North Carolina. Hartman wrote 42 cues for the film. Two were orchestrated in collaboration with "Hannah Montana: The Movie" orchestrator, Mark Johnson, and later recorded by the 45-piece IBChurch Orchestra near Washington, DC. Both pieces were engineered and mixed by Rob Cantanio, Michael French, and Jeff at the studio in Hickory.
Please help keep the studio going by bringing awareness to the fundraising efforts for what will expand into Hickory Arts, a creative & performing arts center, providing instruction in everything from violin, piano, singer/songwriter development, to creative writing and puppet making! Instructors on board include Carol Anne Hartman, Forrest Brown, Dustin Ousley, Jeff, and many more!
Incentives for the fundraiser include photography sessions, house concerts, HD commercials for your business/service, free lessons, and more.
